HIGHLIGHTS OF 2005
PHILIPPINES - We spent another trimester at the campus of Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, where we taught students from all over Asia/Pacific as well as some from Europe, Africa and India. We then went to Olongapo City in the Philipines.
RUSSIA - Ten hours by train north of St. Petersburg and 3 hours by car took us to the little town of Suojarvi, which is in the center of the Karelia area of Russia. It was so rewarding to discuss crucial issues with many pastors from many miles around. They have had little opportunity for study, and are so appreciative of help. God met us in powerful ways as we waited on Him. The pastors left determined to wait on God to know His plan for their churches.
ESTONIA - We returned to the young Bible school in Tallinn, Estonia. Out from under decades of Nazi oppression and then Russian domination for only a few short years, there is a spiritual vacuum that God wants to fill through the ministry of trained leaders. We were grateful to have opportunity to share in the formation of the ministries of these precious people.
ROMANIA - We went again to Eastern European Bible College in Oradea in northwest Romania to teach Christian Education of Children to the first year class and Signs and Wonders in Ministry to the graduating class. It was a thrill to see faith grow as students saw that the Book of Acts records only the beginning of the ministry Jesus expected His followers to fulfill until He comes.

We were blessed to participate in a pastors' retreat. Many were our former students. We have taught in two schools in Romania several times over the last 12 years. What a joy to hear the testimonies of God's sustaining grace and provision as they left Bible school and launched into ministries in this country which was under Communism and the Orthodox Church so long.

SRI LANKA - We were in this country just two months before the terrible tsunami that claimed so many lives and took the homes and livelihoods of so many more. It was a privilege to return and to encourage pastors who have worked tirelessly in the past several months bringing help and hope to their people. We also taught in the Bible college-classes for pastors who needed to complete the fourth year of their training. These people know what they need to know and what skills they need in ministry, so they are eager to receive all that we can give.
THAILAND - It was exciting to have a double seminar for the pastors of the Finnish Assemblies of God. Everett taught on Spiritual Leadership for the 21st Century Church. Evelyn taught Teaching for Life Results. Then there were evening rallies. What a time as skills were sharpened and spirits renewed!
MALAYSIA - We attended and Everett was a presenter at an area-wide conference of Bible school administrators and teachers.
PHILIPPINES - We taught Church Leadership and Principles of Teaching at Bethel Bible College in Manila. We also preached in the chapel several times each. On the last day we did a presentation together on our Reflections on 43 years of Marriage and Ministry. There were a lot of tears of joy and excitement among students and faculty alike as they all realized that they could have a similar testimony if they remain faithful.

Later, Everett taught Missions Perspectives to missionaries and prospective missionaries. We were all challenged to do our part to bring closure to the Great Commission.

SINGAPORE - We taught Pastoral Ministries and Creative Teaching in the Church in the Assemblies of God Bible College to wonderful classes of young and not-so-young people. All are in active ministry and so eager to sharpen their skills. There were wonderful times of prayer as the Holy Spirit invaded the classrooms.
LATVIA - Eager pastors from age 20s to 60s attended courses in Major Prophets and Signs & Wonders in Ministry. Again, the Lord met us in life-changing ways!
