EVERETT and EVELYN McKINNEY

And Their Students Are...

When we were on our first deputation in 1968-69, our theme song was:

Oh, to be His hands extended, Reaching out to the oppressed.
Let me touch Him, let me touch Jesus, So that others may know and be blessed.

This is still our passion. These past three months have been busy with opportunities to touch others who will touch others - in four countries. Our goal is to do all we can to train others to reach out to make disciples in every nation (people group).

His Hands Extended - in RUSSIA

A few years ago in Moscow, in the Pentecostal Union office, a map marked churches in Russia. We saw the vast areas yet to be reached--Russia covers 11 time zones, almost half the globe. We have helped to train pastors and church planters for a number of years in several areas.

We have just finished teaching almost 50 pastors and workers in Khabarovsk in Far East Russia, challenging them to plant churches in every town and village. Next year we will teach in Sakhalin, Vladivostok, and Komsomolsk - Evelyn points to the 4 locations.

His Hands Extended - in ROMANIA

We returned to Oradea, Romania, for the 5th time, where Everett touched the graduating class of Eastern European Bible College, a school established specifically to train church planters and missionaries. He challenged them to nurture a close relationship with the Father as Jesus did (John 5: ) so they will be ready to be used whenever and wherever they find needs. Evelyn taught Christian Education of Children. Everett also had opportunity to do a live program for Christian radio, where he was interviewed by the director concerning his life and ministry.

His Hands Extended - in JAPAN

Everett taught a Master's level course at Central Bible College in Tokyo while Evelyn scrambled to get PowerPoint ready to go with his lessons. The course was videotaped for use in their distance learning program, so it will be studied by students across Japan over the next several years. We also ministered in a young international church, located in Tsukuba - a booming city full of university students who come from all over Japan and from many foreign countries.

His Hands Extended - in PHILIPPINES

We taught in Bethel Bible College in Manila, where the students are full of zeal to be His hands extended throughout their country and others. We were excited to be with Nelly, who was orphaned at an early age, and came to live with us in 1970 in Cebu City, Philippines, when she was 10 years old. We helped her through school, then Bible college, and later she completed degrees at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary. She is now on faculty at BBC. She has a heart for missions at home and abroad, and is leading a group of students in a church plant in an unreached area near BBC. We also met with Brother Kim, a Korean pastor who was our student in Korea and also in APTS in the 70s and 80s. His church has planted and built a church in the Philippines as well as other missions outreaches.

PRAISE: Complete healing from the salmonella!

THANKS for partnering with us - to be His Hands Extended!
